Uti-Care is a really effective product for dogs that are prone to bladder and urinary problems. It improves bladder and urinary health by reducing the number of bacteria colonising the bladder and urethra walls.
The natural ingredients, all scientifically proven, both strengthen the walls and in addition stop bacteria sticking to them

They occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract from the outside and are able to colonise a section of the tract.

Canine urinary tract infections can be uncomfortable for your dog. Urination can become especially painful, as the passing of urine becomes difficult due to the inflammation caused by bacterial colonies.

The diagnosis of a urinary tract infection will require your vet to perform a urine analysis (where a sample of urine is taken and then tested for the presence of bacteria).

How are they treated?

We strongly advocate that Veterinary diagnosis should be sought. Treatment from the Vet will be by a course of antibiotics.

Unfortunately it can be a recurring condition in many dogs and you may find yourself going back to the Vets a month or two later. Further antibiotics will be needed.

Uti-Care is not an antibiotic and it doesn’t eliminate existing infections. Its role is to make re-infection much less likely and in many cases prevent it completely. This is very desirable because it removes the need for continued antibiotic use. Uti-Care is used as a long term supplement to maintain a healthy tract.

Directions for use

UTi-Care capsules should be used to maintain a healthy urinary tract following successful treatment of an infection by your Vet. Or, if your dog has a history of repeated urinary infections then ongoing use of UTi-Care will reduce or even prevent the cycle of infection. The capsules should be given with food. The capsules contents have no strong taste and owners can choose between giving them whole or opening them and sprinkling the powder on food. Dogs up to 10kg – one capsule per day Dogs over 10kg – two capsules per day

The quantities of each ingredient reflect the actual amounts used in clinical trials.

Cranberry extract; Cranberry alone has shown a very high propensity to reduce the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract walls. Research has shown that the effect is caused by a class of compounds called Proanthocyanidins. Type A Proanthocyanidins are naturally occurring and are extracted from the North American cranberry. Type A Proanthocyanidins have been shown to prevent bacteria from attaching to the lining of the urethra and bladder, thereby allowing bacterial to be flushed out by urination – the body’s natural defence mechanism. Uti-Care contains a concentrated cranberry extract containing 25% proanthocyanidins.

D-Mannose; D-Mannose is a sugar which attaches to proteins in the urinary tract walls and stops the adhesion of bacteria. Research has shown it to be even more effective than the common anti-biotics used for treatment.

N Acetyl Glucosamine; N Acetyl Glucosamine is a naturally occurring constituent of the bladder and urethra wall linings. It is used here to ensure that your dog is not short of this essential compound in ensuring good bladder health.
